Base Builders Expand Across Finance and Payments
September was a busy month for the Base ecosystem, with builders launching new products across decentralized finance, tokenized assets, payments, trading and onchain markets.
The month included new ways to use Coinbase Tokenized Stocks as collateral, stablecoin payment infrastructure for businesses, cross-border transfers, leveraged trading products, lending markets and prediction markets. Base also selected 10 teams for its fourth Batches program from more than 750 applicants.
The range of launches shows how developers are using Base for applications that connect crypto-native infrastructure with more familiar financial products. Base itself has continued positioning the network around programmable assets, stablecoins and global financial applications.

Tokenized Stocks Become DeFi Collateral
Aave listed Coinbase Tokenized Stocks on Base, allowing eligible holders to deposit tokenized stocks as collateral and borrow USDC through Aave V4. The development expands the potential uses of tokenized equities beyond simply buying and selling them.
Base’s tokenized stock infrastructure supports assets representing individual U.S. company shares, allowing them to be held and used across supported DeFi applications.

Other September launches pushed tokenized assets into new areas. Revert Finance introduced Revert Rewards, allowing liquidity providers to open positions in tokenized stock pools on Aerodrome, set price ranges and track fees. Flap also arrived on Base, enabling tokens launched through its platform to trade against tokenized stocks.
Veranta added 39 assets across Base, with traders able to access leverage of up to 25x. The launch included 26 assets that had not previously been available for onchain trading.
Stablecoin Payments Gain Ground
Payments were another major area of activity. Modveon launched Sivar, enabling Salvadorans to send money between the United States and El Salvador with transfers designed to settle on Base within seconds.
Cloudflare also opened a closed beta for its Monetization Gateway. The system allows APIs to charge agents on a per-request basis, with payments settled in USDC on Base. The launch connects Base’s stablecoin infrastructure with emerging agent-based internet services.
Coinbase partnered with Citi to bring stablecoin acceptance to Base for institutions. The arrangement is designed to allow businesses to accept stablecoin payments through regulated rails while supporting automatic conversion and fiat settlement.
Base continues to promote stablecoins as a core payment layer, with applications spanning remittances, commerce and business payments.

DeFi Products Add New Ways to Earn and Borrow
September brought several additions to Base’s DeFi ecosystem. Avant launched on the network with infrastructure designed to put productive capital to work, initially through Morpho lending markets.
Alchemix launched Alchemix V3 on Base, allowing users to deposit funds, earn without a lock-up and borrow against their deposits without interest while the underlying capital continues earning. The platform also offers a fixed-return option.
Upshift went live on Base in partnership with Clearstar Labs. The platform allows curators, fintech companies and asset managers to create vaults while depositors retain control of their funds. Its first vault allows XRP holders to earn on cbXRP through Morpho lending markets.
Clearstar also added cbZEC and cbHYPE to its cbAssets Vault on Base, with both markets available through its largest Morpho vault.
Morpho itself introduced P2P Orders for Midnight on Base, giving users the ability to set their own terms through its fixed-rate application. Morpho
More Trading Products Arrive on Base
Several September launches focused on trading and market access. 2Factor Finance entered public beta on Base with a product aimed at allowing long-term holders to maintain moderate leverage indefinitely. The service initially focused on Bitcoin, with Coinbase Tokenized Stocks planned as another asset category.
NumoForex launched a Naira perpetual market, allowing traders to access USDC-cNGN-PERP directly on Base. Rift also released an onchain API that allows users to send funds to a deposit address while the system handles swaps, bridges or deposits, including routes involving Base.
O1 Exchange introduced tax tokens to its Base launchpad. Creators can set buy and sell taxes between 1% and 10%, with the collected amount directed to the creator, distributed to holders as dividends in the paired asset or burned.
New Markets Cover Events, Sports and Global Assets
Prediction and event-based markets also expanded during the month. Catalyst Markets launched markets on Base that allow users to trade outcomes tied to whether specific events happen, beginning with social interactions and expanding toward listings, launches, news and other onchain events.
Pred opened NBA preseason markets on Base, allowing users to take positions on games without fees during the season. Longshot added soccer markets covering leagues in Spain, England and the United States.
The network also gained new access to Brazilian currency infrastructure. Nora Finance launched $BRS on Base as an onchain representation of the Brazilian real, creating additional opportunities for the asset to be distributed and integrated into other applications.
Payments and Yield Products Broaden the Ecosystem
Zoth expanded zPayments on Base, offering businesses stablecoin settlement and local-currency payouts across 171 countries. The service advertises a single stated rate and instant settlement.
Munify also launched on Base, giving users a single account for receiving, holding, spending and moving dollars through USDC.
Fluidkey activated auto-earn on Base, automatically directing received USDC into a Morpho vault curated by KPK so that incoming funds can begin earning according to the vault strategy.
Roqqu Pay added another consumer-facing product with the Roqqu Go Card, a multi-currency card designed to let users spend crypto like cash, with USDC running on Base.
September Shows Base’s Growing Application Range
The September launches cover a broad spectrum of onchain finance. Tokenized stocks can now be used as collateral, stablecoins can support cross-border payments and API monetization, and new protocols are bringing lending, yield, leverage and event markets to the network.
The month also showed Base’s growing focus on connecting traditional financial assets with decentralized applications. Coinbase Tokenized Stocks can be traded and used across supported Base applications, while new products from Aave, Morpho, Revert and others build additional financial use cases around those assets.
Base’s tokenized stock ecosystem
The 25 launches also extend beyond finance. Sports markets, soccer markets, social-event markets, Brazilian currency infrastructure and agent-based payment systems all demonstrate the variety of applications being developed on Base.
Base Continues Building a Broader Onchain Economy
September’s activity suggests that Base’s ecosystem is becoming increasingly diverse, with builders working across several interconnected financial and consumer use cases.
Tokenized stocks, stablecoins and DeFi formed major parts of the month’s activity, while payments, prediction markets, leverage and new asset types added further depth. The selection of 10 teams for Base Batches 004 also points to continued investment in early-stage developers building on the network.
With products spanning lending, payments, trading, tokenization and automated financial services, Base is continuing to develop an ecosystem where different applications can connect around shared onchain assets and liquidity.
